the sun and the sunflower

You are the sun, i am the sunflower. I bask in your beauty, i can not help but look at you, and can not turn my gaze away. I turn towards wherever you are and wish to be close to you, but for now this great distance seperates us. I am not sad for i can feel your rays of love beaming down on me, giving me life, helping me grow, making me better. Your love lets me know nothing could ever be so bad anymore. But alas, it is night and i can not see you, my nights are lonely without you, without your warmth, without your touch. I have hope and i have faith, so i just smile.. because i know it will not be long before you brighten up my day again. Nothing not even this distance can keep me from loving you.
